Alumni Day 2023
It was a great day of joy and celebration as we honoured alumni who have reached jubilee years since their ordinations. This year, our Jubilarian Bishop Vincent Nguyen, celebrated the Mass in the Seminary chapel on November 29, 2023. In his homily, Bishop Nguyen reminded us of his episcopal motto "Ego Vobiscum Sum" (I am with you) which are the words of Jesus at the end of Matthew's Gospel (Mt 28:20). It is a reminder to the bishop that the Triune God is with him as he responds to his Episcopal call to be present and involved with the People of God as they together bear witness to Christ. “That is also my prayer for you, the people of God, my brother priests and all those who make the decision to offer their lives for the Gospel. May the Lord be with you!”
While only some of the Jubilarians could attend, we paid tribute to 30 Jubilarians: seven celebrating 60 years of priesthood, seven celebrating 50 years, nine celebrating 40 years, and seven celebrating 25 years.

“Seminary life is all about discerning God’s will. That doesn’t happen overnight. Through that journey, there are ups and downs, but God will reveal His will. The question we all need to keep asking the Lord is ‘What do You want me to do?’”
